Rebecca Bast always knew she wanted to do something with her life that would have a positive impact on others. When she started as an intern with Northwestern Mutual in 1994, it became clear to her how she was going to make a difference. With over 20 years of experience, Rebecca has been helping guide people to a world of financial security ever since. Rebecca has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation and the Chartered Financial Consultant ( ChFC®) designation. Rebecca Bast resides in Odessa, Florida, with her husband John, and their two children, John Thomas and Cally. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys playing golf, shooting sporting clays, traveling, attending sporting events and being active in her community. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Dan joined Bast Financial Group in January 2021. He serves as an Associate Private Wealth Advisor and our Director of Investments. He is dedicated to servicing the firm’s clients through comprehensive financial planning, providing ongoing, insightful education, and other ancillary services.

Prior to Bast Financial Group, Dan held the role of Senior Analyst at AGW Capital Advisors, an independent investment advisory firm managing over $2B in assets for its clients. In this role, Dan was responsible for the oversight and direction of the firm’s investment strategy, including fund manager research, portfolio construction & implementation, and trading.

Dan attended Florida Gulf Coast University where he earned a B.S. in Finance. He has also taken post-graduate courses at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys cycling, serving community outreach at his church, Radiant Church, and traveling to unique destinations with his wife, Lesley.

Parveen joined the team in August 2018. As the Director of Operations, she manages the office, team workflow, scheduling for Rebecca, and is a key utility player within the team for the day to day operations.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from Saint Petersburg College. Parveen has a background in banking and finance, most recently as a personal banker. With over 10 years in the customer service industry, her mission is to create an exceptional client experience.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new foods and spending time with her husband, Brad and their sons, Jackson & Lincoln.

Taylor joined Rebecca’s team in December 2020. She has a passion to help serve the firm’s clients by empowering individuals and families to achieve their goals through comprehensive financial planning. Taylor specializes in insurance planning and has a bachelor’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from the University of South Florida. In addition, Taylor has her 2-15 Life, Health, and Variable Annuity license and Series 7 securities registration in the state of Florida.

Prior to joining Rebecca’s team, Taylor was a college intern with Northwestern Mutual for 2 years. Being born and raised in Florida, she loves being at the beach or on the boat with family and friends in her spare time.

Kevin joined Northwestern Mutual in November 2016. Kevin reviews financial / investment plans for Bast Financial Group. He recommends investment strategy for clients and assists the Private Wealth Advisors to ensure investment allocations are optimized.

Kevin has four years of financial services experience, and first served as a registered financial representative before joining the planning department within Northwestern Mutual. He holds his Series 7, Series 63 and Florida 2-15 (Life & Health) Licenses.

Kevin has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Sorbonne University of Paris, France, and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from NEOMA Business School of Reims, France.

Jarrett joined Northwestern Mutual in May 2017. Jarrett reviews financial/investment plans for Bast Financial Group. He recommends investment strategy for clients and assists the Private Wealth Advisors to ensure investment allocations are optimized.

Jarrett has four years of financial services experience, and first served as a financial advisor before joining the investment strategy group within Northwestern Mutual. He holds his Series 7, Series 63 and Florida 2-15 (Life & Health) Licenses.

Jarrett has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida.

Elena joined Bast Financial Group in August 2022. As the Investment Operations Coordinator, she is responsible for new accounts, client servicing, and investment implementation. Elena has 7 years of financial services experience and holds her Series 7, Series 63, and Florida 2-15 (Life & Health) Licenses.

Elena attended Eckerd College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Angie started her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2015. As the CMO for Bast Financial Group, she is responsible for utilizing strategic marketing and media strategies to help Bast Financial Group reach our growth goals. She oversees client events, sponsorships, media opportunities and the community involvement for BFG.

With a masters in communications from University of Illinois, she is an innovative marketing communications executive with 15+ years of expansive, proven experience in all aspects of corporate marketing including branding, customer relations, creative team leadership, advertising and media relations.

She is involved in a number of other local non-profit organization in Tampa Bay including Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and 1Voice Foundation. She is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay Class of 2018. In her spare time, Angie loves to travel, attend sporting events and spend quality time with friends and family.
